Designer, art director, lecturer, publisher, entrepreneur, Giorgio Biscaro is recognised as one of the most eclectic personalities on the Italian design scene. Since his graduation (from IUAV, with a pioneering thesis on the use of LEDs in domestic lighting) and through his work at Foscarini, he has been dealing with the design of light; an attitude that led him to be appointed ArtDirector of FontanaArte in 2012. Considered one of the most representative Italian designers of the new millennium, in 2012 he co-founded SomethingGood, which markets high-quality products made locally in Italy with the aim of promoting and enhancing Italian craftsmanship and know-how, managing the brand with its other partners. Frequently represented in the national and international press, and at design exhibitions and reviews (including MoMA, Triennale di Milano and others), he has also taught at many Italian universities, holding workshops, conferences and post-graduate courses.
His collaborations include: FontanaArte, Foscarini, Flos, Plust, CB2, Bosa Ceramiche, Unox, Barilla, Siretessile, Red Bull, Manfrotto, Nokta, WoodyZoody.
