Thanks to a curious optical play, made possible by the particular welding of the central rod that keeps the ends of the glass structure free from the slender cage, Neptune seems to float gracefully in space, almost as if deprived of its own weight. The Pencil project was born almost as a game, from the pencil of Zoe Marinotto who, at just 13 years old, drew the outlines of this visionary lamp.
